At Doha International Airport, GET Group was commissioned to construct Qatar Airways’ new accommodation buildings. The project was delivered in two packages, with the first covering a site area of 10,996 square meters and a total built area of 61,019 square meters. The first package comprised 264 two-bedroom apartments, 32 one-bedroom apartments, 347 suites, and 51 studios. The development also included a restaurant, gymnasium, computer rooms, retail store, multipurpose room, rooftop running track, rooftop pool area, and underground car park.
Qatar Airways’ second accommodation package covered a site area of 2,087 square meters with a total built area of 13,821 square meters. This stage of the development project saw the creation of 54 two-bedroom apartments, 14 studios, 68 suites, computer rooms, a gymnasium, a rooftop pool area, and underground parking. In addition to designing and constructing the new buildings, GET Group was also responsible for telecommunications, electrical works, and mechanical works, as well as overseeing the creation of roads, compliance with GSAS and BIM requirements, landscaping, and structural and geotechnical works.
