Global fintech company Paysend has partnered with TelevisaUnivision, the world’s leading Spanish-language media network, to roll out a new campaign highlighting the people at the heart of cross-border payments — from construction workers to small business owners and everyday families. This partnership forms part of a wider mission to celebrate the millions of customers Paysend supports by offering Simple Money Transfer services to all, particularly those who are underbanked or underserved, transforming lives through fast, secure, and cost-effective international transfers.

Titled Break Barriers, the campaign was created in partnership with TelevisaUnivision and showcases moving, real-life stories from across Latin America and the Caribbean. This strategic initiative leverages the full strength of TelevisaUnivision’s media portfolio, drawing on the network’s extensive cultural influence and audience reach. The campaign includes a 30-second high-production-value advert shown on national and regional television, branded integrations on the popular morning show Despierta América with on-air talent, and sports content tailored to resonate with diverse Hispanic viewers. It also includes national and local radio promotions, targeted audio ads, and hyper-local creatives featured on ViX—the largest Spanish-language streaming platform—alongside grassroots community activations and performance-led outreach to maximise visibility and engagement.

Latin America remains a strategic priority for Paysend, as the region accounts for over $150 billion in annual remittance flows globally, and a population where over 70% of adults are either underbanked or unbanked, creating a significant opportunity to drive financial inclusion. At the heart of this effort is Paysend’s mission to break geographic, financial, and digital barriers. For millions across the region, cross-border payments are more than transactions; they are lifelines. From supporting families and friends to fueling education, entrepreneurship, and everyday resilience, ‘Break Barriers’ reflects Paysend’s commitment to making money movement simpler, faster and more meaningful.

“Latin America is a region that is central to our long-term vision,” said Ana Paula Rocha, Head of Growth Marketing at Paysend. “Working with TelevisaUnivision and continuing to invest in the region allows us to authentically showcase how Paysend is solving the real pain points of cross-border money transfers. With Break Barriers, we wanted to celebrate the 11 million customers that have entrusted us to transform their money transfer experience and create the best possible product for them to send love and support to those who matter most. Sending money digitally is no longer a future trend — it’s a reality. We’re proud to help the community send funds reliably and conveniently from the comfort of their homes.”

Through partnerships like these and continued investment in innovation, Paysend is building a future where sending money across borders is effortless, affordable, and accessible to all—empowering families and communities to thrive in the global economy. With over 11 million consumer customers across 170+ countries, Paysend is building the world’s largest digital payment network, working to eliminate the barriers and inefficiencies of traditional cross-border transfer services.
