HURGHADA, Egypt: The shortlist turned to silverware for Rixos Hotels Egypt at the World Travel Awards Africa Gala Ceremony 2026, where the brand walked away with seven separate honours spanning its properties along the Red Sea, the Sinai coast and the Mediterranean. The results were confirmed on 28 August 2026 at a ceremony staged in Zanzibar, Tanzania.
With destinations in Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada and Alexandria, Rixos Hotels’ Egyptian resorts featured across a wide spread of categories, from family and beach resorts to heritage stays and a standalone luxury villa. The clean sweep of seven titles positioned the operator among the most decorated hospitality names of the evening.

Rather than a single flagship win, the brand’s tally was drawn from properties in every one of its Egyptian destinations, underlining a portfolio-wide showing rather than a one-property success story. The judging panel and public voting recognised resorts catering to families, adults-only guests, beach seekers and travellers drawn to Alexandria’s heritage.
