Air Europa, one of Spain’s top carriers, has officially launched direct services to iGA Istanbul Airport, becoming the fourth airline to begin operations there in 2025. The airline is operating the route with its state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner, offering reciprocal flights between Spain and Türkiye. This expansion strengthens connectivity between the two nations and further solidifies iGA Istanbul Airport’s position as a global hub.

As a global transfer hub connecting the world to Türkiye, iGA Istanbul Airport has begun hosting Air Europa, one of Europe’s prominent airlines. The Spanish carrier Air Europa will operate four weekly flights between Madrid and Istanbul.  The inaugural flight took off on Monday, 12 May. Starting on Monday 7 July these flights will become daily.

Air Europa operates flights to over 55 destinations worldwide, serving important connections between Europe and the Americas via the strategic location of Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport. These latest flights, operated with the airline’s efficient and advanced Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, will depart Madrid Barajas Airport at 09:30 AM and Istanbul at 4:00 PM. The flight schedules will allow passengers to connect to overnight flights to the Americas via Madrid.

 Speaking about the Air Europa launch of these new operations, iGA Istanbul Airport CEO Selahattin Bilgen, said:
